About Search Shift Report
Search Shift Report tracks how people find things now. Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, TikTok and Reddit as search engines: we report the changes and measure what we can.
Each report states its method and date. Where we quote a share or a count, we say where it came from.
How we work
Every article is checked against a source we can name before it goes out, carries its date and the date of its last change, and is corrected in place when we get something wrong. Articles are written by the Search Shift Report desk and carry the desk’s name, not an invented byline. About two articles a day is the most we publish on one site.
