Yes, LinkDM and CreatorFlow both cap automated DMs by plan each month. Our pick for creators and local businesses whose keyword posts can take off is BetterSocials, an AI social media manager with no monthly DM cap on any plan, from $29 a month for four accounts. LinkDM is best for a high DM cap at a low price on Instagram and Facebook, and CreatorFlow for the lowest monthly bill on one or two Instagram accounts.
CreatorFlow's October 2026 pricing allows 500 DMs a month on Free, 5,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Growth. LinkDM's, checked in September 2026, allows 1,000 on Free and 25,000 on Pro.
Monthly DM caps by plan, with dates
LinkDM, CreatorFlow and BetterSocials all sell comment-to-DM, where a keyword in a comment sends that person a DM with your link. Each plan's monthly DM cap is the number of automated DMs it sends in one billing month.
Table prices are from September 2026 for LinkDM and October 2026 for BetterSocials and CreatorFlow. A yearly figure is the monthly rate on annual billing.
| Plan | Price | Monthly DMs | Keyword DMs on |
|---|---|---|---|
| BetterSocials Creator | $29 monthly, $24 yearly | Unlimited | Instagram, Facebook |
| BetterSocials Pro | $49 monthly, $39 yearly | Unlimited | Instagram, Facebook |
| LinkDM Free | $0 | 1,000 | Instagram, Facebook |
| LinkDM Pro | $19 | 25,000 | Instagram, Facebook |
| CreatorFlow Free | $0 | 500 | |
| CreatorFlow Pro | $15 monthly, $12 yearly | 5,000 per workspace | |
| CreatorFlow Growth | $30 monthly, $24 yearly | 10,000 per workspace |
CreatorFlow counts DMs per workspace, so every account in a workspace draws from one number. LinkDM Pro covers three Instagram accounts, CreatorFlow Pro covers two and Growth covers five. BetterSocials Creator covers four accounts and Pro covers six, and our report on social inbox account limits in 2026 compares how other entry plans count accounts.
LinkDM: 1,000 free DMs, then 25,000 on Pro
LinkDM's free plan sends up to 1,000 automated DMs a month. Pro is $19 and raises the cap to 25,000 DMs a month across three Instagram accounts. A higher tier, Platinum+, is $99.
LinkDM works on Instagram and Facebook, with keyword and template replies that you write. On BetterSocials, AI replies draft comment and DM answers in the owner's voice.
Among the capped plans in this report, LinkDM Pro is the cheapest per DM. $19 for 25,000 DMs comes to $0.00076 a DM ($19 / 25,000 = $0.00076), and if your month stays under 25,000 keyword DMs, the cap never comes into play. LinkDM keeps a help page called Monthly DM Send Limit on what happens past it, so read it before a launch you expect to run hot.
CreatorFlow: 500 to 10,000 DMs per workspace
CreatorFlow's Free plan covers one Instagram account and 500 automated DMs a month. Pro is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly, for two Instagram accounts and 5,000 DMs per workspace per month. Growth is $30 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for five accounts, 10,000 DMs per workspace and five team seats.
CreatorFlow's pricing page says its plans are "flat-rate with no per-contact fees, so your cost stays the same whether you have 500 followers or 500,000."
That holds for the bill. The cap sits on messages instead, and every one of CreatorFlow's unlimited automations draws from the same monthly count.
CreatorFlow is Instagram only and sends template replies, with no AI replies. Pro adds email collection, follow gating and link click tracking. Both paid plans start with a 14-day free trial that needs a payment method and charges nothing until it ends.
What one busy reel does to each cap
One reel that draws 3,000 keyword comments from 3,000 different people asks BetterSocials, LinkDM or CreatorFlow for 3,000 DMs. Each line below divides those 3,000 DMs by the plan's monthly cap.
- BetterSocials Creator: no monthly count, so the limit is Instagram's hourly pace, covered two sections down.
- LinkDM Free: 3,000 / 1,000 = 3 times the cap.
- LinkDM Pro: 3,000 / 25,000 = 12% of the month, so a ninth reel like it in the same month goes over.
- CreatorFlow Free: 3,000 / 500 = 6 times the cap.
- CreatorFlow Pro: one reel uses more than half of the 5,000, so a second reel like it goes 1,000 over.
- CreatorFlow Growth: one reel uses under a third of the 10,000, so a fourth reel like it goes 2,000 over.
The cap matters most in the month a post finally works.
Size the plan to your best post, before the next launch, and keep the vendor's own page on the monthly limit open while you do.
ManyChat counts people instead of DMs
Rather than DMs, ManyChat meters active contacts. An active contact is a person who interacts with you through ManyChat in the billing month, counted monthly even on annual plans. This pricing is the default for accounts created on or after March 2, 2026, and it reaches older accounts country by country.
As of October 2026, ManyChat Pro is $39 a month with 2,500 active contacts, or $29 a month billed yearly. Each extra contact costs $0.05 on Pro with monthly billing. Over the limit, automations keep running and the overage is billed automatically, though you can set an overage threshold.
So a Pro account that reaches 4,000 people in a month pays $39 + 1,500 x $0.05 = $114. The 3,000-comment reel alone, if those are the only people you reach that month, adds 500 contacts at $0.05 each on top of the $39. Far past the contact limit, ManyChat's automations may pause.
Instagram's limits sit above every plan
Instagram caps private replies to comments on posts and reels at 750 calls an hour per professional account, per Meta's Graph API rate limiting docs as checked in July 2026. That ceiling applies to any tool sending through Instagram's API. At 750 an hour, 3,000 keyword comments take at least four hours to answer.
BetterSocials' guide to missing comment-to-DM messages puts the pace tools run at lower, at roughly 200 automated DMs an hour per account. The same guide says comment triggers send one automated DM per person per 24 hours. At 200 an hour, the 3,000-comment reel takes about 15 hours to clear, if nothing else is sending.
Two time windows apply as well. Meta's help page on comment actions in Inbox says "You can't send a message in response to comments posted more than 7 days ago." Instagram also lets a business reply to a DM only within 24 hours of the person's last message, and Meta deprecated message tags, the way tools reached people outside that window, in April 2026.
So "unlimited" on any plan means no monthly count, never faster than Instagram's hourly limit.
Where BetterSocials fits for busy keyword posts
For creators and local businesses whose comments and DMs bring in customers across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, BetterSocials removes the monthly count. Every BetterSocials plan includes unlimited DMs, unlimited contacts and unlimited keyword automations, and nothing is billed per contact. Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts and one login.
Pro is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts. Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts and unlimited teammates. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, card required.
LinkDM and CreatorFlow cost less at the entry tier. At $15 a month, CreatorFlow Pro covers two accounts. LinkDM Pro is $19 for three. For five accounts, $30 a month on CreatorFlow Growth is cheaper than BetterSocials Pro for six, though Growth stops at 10,000 DMs.
CreatorFlow also skips per-contact fees, so the gap between the two is the monthly DM count and the channels. What the extra money buys at BetterSocials is the rest of the inbox. Comments from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages land in one inbox beside Instagram, Facebook and TikTok DMs.
AI replies answer comments and DMs in the owner's voice, with three settings: Off, Draft for me and Reply in my voice. Each AI reply uses one AI credit, Creator includes 1,000 a month, and when credits run out the AI pauses instead of charging more. Contacts and DMs are never metered.
A keyword comment sends a DM with your link on Instagram and Facebook. TikTok and YouTube let no tool turn a comment into a private DM, so there, and on Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, the keyword posts a public reply with the link. BetterSocials' pricing page lists all three plans and the trial.
